We've got summer and autumn stuff in the shop these days, friends, and I'm not even bitter because I am loving all of it!
Turquoise and orange are two of my favourite colours, and check out how great they look together on this fabulous dress! The layered skirting and tea length give it a more vintage shape, but the print and colours offset that nicely. Perfection!
There's loads of structure in the front to keep everything (ahem) in place, and the summer-dress-classic elastic in the back for comfort:
Always one of our favourites, Edmonton's own Cinder+Smoke! This simple drindl has pockets (nice!), and the cherry blossom print on the front and the back. Designer Janna Stewart has wrapped up her down town market gig for the season, but you can still find her stuff at the Arturo Denim shop on 124 street.
Amazing electric blue patent leather Stuart Weitzman pumps! I love the slightly retro yet timeless look going on here:
Just a few days ago I did a super satisfying deep dive into the Smoking Lily website (you know the type: 5 tabs open for three days!), and then I come into Red Pony and find this amazing Smoking Lily skirt! To me Smoking Lily is like the Queen Mum of the in-house designer and maker. They were one of the first to break out and their creations have remained consistent and recognizable over the years. I'm loving the modern nautical theme print on this skirt!
Note that the boat is named the "S.S. Lily"!
The print continues across the back too!
This Matt & Nat wallet has lots of slots for cards if, like me, you feel compelled to carry ALL your important cards and IDs and those of every member of your family on your person at all times!
Beautiful micro-pleat skirt from Australian designer Karen Walker:
The prize for keeping the bird-shirt original goes to this totally delightful Anthropologie blouse:
Two Steve Madden booties! I especially love the sweet scallops on the elasticized ankle of the brown ones:
My love of clothes that look like they are from the future naturally extends to clothes that look like they are from outer space, like this gorgeous silver space-prom dress!
Distinctive London Bridge skirt (wear it with the blue Stuart Weitzman pumps!):
You are totally cool enough to pull off these killer sandals:
I'm loving this grown-up, yet artsy, shift dress. The simple shape, the boat neck and the bold print are all working perfectly together!
And here's the gorgeous necklace! The horn/tooth(?) shaped capsule is a bit mysterious and definitely unique, and I'm mesmorized by the chain:
Ok, this is the splurge this week, friends. Brand new with tags and made in Canada out of super soft angora wool from Italy. No one who comes into the shop can resist touching this beauty, it is so soft and luxurious! The collar and top button totally remind me of Soia and Kyo design (am I allowed to compare two Canadian coat brands like that? It feels wrong, but they definately seem related!).
And just in time for fall, a virgin wool sweater vest!
I couldn't resist staring at this until I figured out this formula:
R1: [P, K, K, P] / R2: [P, K, P, K] / R3-5: [K. P, K, P] / R6: [P, K, P, K]. Repeat R1-6
And as always, more amazing stuff coming out of the backroom soon!
Green dress with Ikea style horses on it....
Pinapple dress!
For those of you who have stuck with me and read all the way to the end, I'm about to give you the best heads-up from the backroom ever....
YES friends, it's the classic Camper Spiral boot!!! (I own this exact boot -in this exact size- so seeing this in the back room was like running into a beloved family member unexpectedly!).
This darling is a 38 (7.5-8). Should hit the floor in a day or so, so come down to check it out!
